GUIDE · FINISHES

PICK THE FLOOR FOR THE ROOM.

The finish is the part everyone sees. Each one has a different look, texture and tolerance for dust, grit and wear. Start with how the room is used, then pick the look.

Start with how the room is used

A garage that sees winter grit every day and a barbershop that gets photographed every day want different things from a floor. Ask yourself how much dirt the floor sees, whether it gets wet, how much you care about a unique look, and whether you'll mind seeing dust between cleanings.

When metallic is the right call

Choose metallic when the floor is part of the design: a shop, a showroom, a basement bar, a show garage. Plan for regular dust mopping and ask about texture for any area that gets wet.

When flake is the right call

Choose flake when the floor works hard and you want it to look clean between sweeps: everyday garages, workshops, storage and laundry rooms.

When solid colour is the right call

Choose solid colour for bright, uniform workspaces, or where you want lines and zones painted on top.
