COST

WHAT MOVES THE NUMBER.

The honest answer to "how much per square foot?" is that the slab decides as much as the finish does. Here's what moves the price, so you can compare quotes properly.

What moves the price

  • Area: smaller floors carry setup costs over fewer square feet
  • Slab condition: cracks, spalling, pitting and low spots add repair time
  • Existing coatings, adhesives or tile that must come off
  • Moisture: slabs that need moisture-tolerant primers or extra work
  • The finish: decorative metallic and marble-art work takes more hands-on time than a single colour
  • Layers and thickness of the system
  • Access, stairs, and working around equipment or business hours
  • Phasing, evening or weekend scheduling

Why a cheap quote can cost more

The fastest way to lower a floor quote is to cut preparation or use fewer, thinner layers. Neither shows on day one. Both show when the coating peels or wears through. When you compare quotes, compare the preparation, products and layers, not just the total.

How to get an accurate quote

  • Measure the floor, or give approximate dimensions
  • Take photos of the whole floor plus close-ups of cracks, stains and old coatings
  • Say how the room is used and which finish you're leaning toward
  • Send it through the quote page by text, or by email
